Description: BARDA is requesting project proposals from product developers for design and manufacturing, as well as nonclinical and clinical testing, of mRNA vaccines against influenza viruses of pandemic potential. The purpose of this project is to partner with existing domestic large-scale commercial mRNA vaccine producer(s) with existing capabilities, including fill/finish and labeling/packaging and as-needed distribution activities that could be readily repurposed for a pandemic influenza response. The goal of this project is to rapidly enable a mRNA-based national pandemic influenza vaccination response capability by generating manufacturing and clinical data with various influenza strains of pandemic potential.
