Collaboration is in our DNA. Before ATI was officially formed, we managed the Rapid Acquisition of Manufactured Parts (RAMP) Program. This collaborative effort brought together engineers from five companies to revolutionize manufacturing, starting with the Navy and eventually moving to the Army and others. And it was instrumental in establishing ATI’s core competency of consortium management. The just-in-time manufacturing method developed by this program replaced an outdated model of producing and warehousing lots of parts in case they were needed later for critical repairs. It is still in use at multiple military depots today.
