Advanced Technology International to Manage Information Warfare Consortium under $100M OTA

July 6, 2018 Press Releases

Charleston, SC

Advanced Technology International (ATI) signed a three year, $100M Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with Space and Naval Warfare Systems Centers (SPAWAR) Atlantic and Pacific to manage the Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium.

Under this OTA, ATI will build and manage an industry consortium of traditional and nontraditional contractors, small and large businesses, and academic institutions. IWRP Consortium members will collaborate with the U.S. Navy to research and develop innovative information warfare prototypes and to enhance the government’s access to groundbreaking technologies. The IWRP Consortium seeks to engage industry and academia in the research and prototyping of critical technologies that advance Navy and Marine Corps information warfare capabilities.

ATI will manage the IWRP Consortium from its headquarters near Charleston, SC, in coordination with both SPAWAR Atlantic, located in Charleston, SC, and SPAWAR Pacific, located in San Diego, CA. Initial research efforts will focus on the following technology areas: cyber warfare, data science/analytics technologies, assured communications, cloud computing, enterprise resource tools, collaboration and social networking, autonomy, internet of things, mobility, model based systems engineering, on-demand manufacturing, assured command and control, integrated fires, and battlespace awareness. More information about these technology areas can be found at http://www.theiwrp.org.

“ATI is delighted to continue serving the Navy, our longest standing customer, as the IWRP’s consortium manager,” said ATI President and CEO, Christopher Van Metre. “We’re excited to join forces with SPAWAR to help our service members access the technology and tools that they need faster than ever before.”

All private sector for-profit and not-for-profit companies, small business organizations, and academic research institutions with capabilities in any of the technology domains listed above are encouraged to signal their interest in joining the IWRP Consortium by contacting Mike Atkinson at IWRPinfo@ati.org.
