Advanced Technology International (ATI) is pleased to announce the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) has selected ATI as the Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC) Consortium Manager.  Please see the Los Angeles Air Force Base announcement regarding SpEC HERE. For additional details, visit FedBizOpps, solicitation number FA8814-17-9-0001.

DoD customers with space-related requirements will use this new OT Agreement to execute prototype projects in the segments of:

• Ground
• Launch
• Space

We have begun developing the SpEC consortium membership agreement and the accompanying membership application we will use to convert LOI signers and other interested organizations into formal SpEC members.  We are seeking premier traditional and non-traditional government contractors, small and large businesses, for-profit and not-for-profit entities, academic organizations, and their affiliated organizations to perform R&D prototyping efforts in the technology areas listed above.

ATI and SMC representatives will conduct a program kick-off meeting, which will give us a feel for the timeline and critical milestones we must achieve in starting up SpEC in support of SMC’s desire to release the first two solicitations to SpEC as quickly as possible.  We will be providing in the coming days additional announcements and information regarding next steps on how to become a SpEC member.

We look forward to working with industry and academia in this exciting new enterprise.

Should you have any questions or would like to sign up for SpEC announcements, please feel free to contact us via SpEC’s new email address, SpEC-CM@ati.org.

What are Other Transaction Agreements?

Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) are contract vehicles that offer advantages over traditional government contracts including relief from Federal Acquisition Regulations, rapid contracting, open collaboration between industry/government, and significant small business participation.
