ATI’s Naval Technologies Collaborations

The Naval Surface Technology & Innovation Consortium (NSTIC) supports naval surface technology innovation through a consortium that researches, develops, tests, and integrates complex naval warfare systems across a broad range of technology areas and disciplines.

The mission of the National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) is to employ a unique collaborative framework to research, develop, mature, and implement industry-relevant shipbuilding and sustainment technologies and processes, improving efficiency across the U.S. shipyard industrial base and meeting future demand.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) has established the Maritime Sustainment Technology and Innovation Consortium (MSTIC). This collaboration team is focused on innovative sustainment solutions to effectively address current and future security threats in maritime environments.

The Center for Naval Metalworking (CNM) develops and deploys metalworking and related manufacturing technologies to reduce the cost and time to build and repair key U.S. Navy ships and weapons platforms.

The Naval Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing Center (NSAM) is a Navy ManTech Center of Excellence, chartered by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to develop advanced manufacturing technologies and deploy them in the U.S. defense industrial base. NSAM’s primary goal is to fund projects that drive manufacturing improvements and ultimately reduce the cost and time required to build and repair Navy platforms.

Established in 2000 as the Navy’s Center of Excellence for Composites Manufacturing Technology Center (CMTC) is one of seven Centers of Excellence that serve as technology resources for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) under the Navy Manufacturing Technology Program (ManTech).

The Expeditionary Missions Consortium-Crane supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) collaboration to engage industry and academia to perform basic, applied, and advanced research projects, and prototype projects in support of current and future needs related to Expeditionary Missions Technologies.

The Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) has established an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) to engage industry and academia to develop and mature technologies in the field of information warfare that enhance Navy and Marine Corps mission effectiveness.
