You may have heard increasing talk about Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) recently. Maybe someone mentioned OTAs at a conference as a way to access government funding. Or perhaps your boss told you to “go learn everything there is to know about OTAs.” Either way, you’ve done your homework and now you’re ready to connect the dots. But how do you choose which OTA collaboration is best for your company to join?

Here’s where to start:

The number of OTA collaborations—in which the government partners with a consortium of technology providers and researchers with a particular area of focus—has grown exponentially in recent years. You can see all active OTA collaborations here. Learn about the collaborations that ATI manages here.

Take a look at our website to find consortia that best fit your technology capabilities and expertise. Our Other Transaction Agreement Collaboration Management page lists of all of the ATI-managed consortia, along with a synopsis of each program’s technology focus. Click on a program’s logo for more details and a link to the program website.

If you want to learn more about the technical work each program does, take a look at our Current and Upcoming Business Opportunities page. This is where we list all active solicitations, meaning funding opportunities that your company could respond to. The page tells you which OTA collaboration the solicitation is coming from, the solicitation number, a short description, who is funding the project, release date, and the submission deadline. New opportunities are added regularly, so make sure to bookmark the page and check back often.

You found the OTAs you want to join, now what?
