Van Metre will join ATI’s Board of Directors after he steps down.
“It has been a privilege and honor to serve as the CEO of ATI,” said Van Metre. “Working with the ATI team, our customers and consortia members has been simply amazing, and I remain steadfastly committed to the ATI mission. We accomplished a lot together and I am very grateful to have been part of the journey. Knowing there is no perfect time to leave, I am grateful to have the opportunity to leave with ATI strongly positioned to continue delivering high impact support to its customers. I am excited to watch it happen.”
Charlie Young, ATI’s Board Chair said, “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Chris for his visionary leadership and unrelenting dedication to ATI since joining the company in 2005 and being appointed CEO in 2012. Chris’ inspirational leadership of ATI through unprecedented growth has been remarkable. We are pleased that he will continue to be part of the ATI team as a Board Director.”
Young also noted, “John Jansen is a proven leader and, in just a short time, he has developed a keen understanding of ATI, its history and its compelling value in the innovation ecosystem. The passion he demonstrated throughout the extensive interview process assured the Board that he is the right person to lead ATI as its CEO going forward.” He continued, “John will take ATI to even greater heights and enhance the value delivered to all of ATI’s stakeholders.”
“I want to thank the Board for their confidence in my leadership and Chris for his continued support and partnership,” said Jansen. “I look forward to building on everything ATI accomplished under Chris’s leadership, and I am incredibly energized by the opportunities ahead.
