The Maritime Sustainment Technology Innovation Consortium welcomes its 500th member
The Maritime Sustainment Technology and Innovation Consortium (MSTIC) has recently reached a significant milestone, welcoming Snowbird Technologies as its 500th member. MSTIC is a collaboration executed under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) to develop and mature technologies that enhance the Navy’s mission effectiveness and address current and future security threats in maritime environments.
MSTIC’s members perform research and development prototyping efforts within MSTIC’s technology focus areas, which include:
- Cyber
- Fleet Introduction Technologies
- Waterfront Industrial Support Operations
- Asset Fabrication, Revitalization (Remanufacturing) and Packing
- Logistic and Supply Chain Management
- Research and Development
Since its inception in June 2021, MSTIC has grown from 120 signed member organizations – made up of traditional and nontraditional contractors, small and large businesses, for-profit and nonprofit entities, and academia – to now 500 active members to further NSWCPD’s mission. Snowbird Technologies, the 500th member, produces HVAC, air-to-water, and additive manufacturing systems to bring critical support to users in military and industrial markets around the globe.

This collaboration team is focused on innovative sustainment solutions to effectively address current and future security threats in maritime environments. MSTIC engages industry and academia to develop and mature technologies in the field of Maritime Sustainment that enhance the Navy’s mission effectiveness. The MSTIC is a consortium of premier traditional and non-traditional government contractors, small and large businesses, for-profit and not-for-profit entities, and academic organizations to perform R&D prototyping efforts.
