National Science Foundation’s National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics funds over $7.5 million in National Secure Data Service demonstration projects

NCSES is utilizing the America's DataHub Consortium (ADC) to award NSDS-D pilot projects. After a competitive project evaluation process, a variety of organizations were chosen, including three (3) non-traditional organizations, ones that do not typically work with NSF or NCSES.

“The PPT and DPT projects focus on two areas that are central to a potential National Secure Data Service: innovation and privacy protection. Both projects focus on using state of the art technologies and methodologies to enhance sharing and linking of data while ensuring that confidentiality of respondents is maintained and data is protected,” says Dr. Heather Madray, Program Director for Data Access, Confidentiality, and Quality Assessment from the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics and the National Science Foundation.

America’s DataHub Consortium announces selections of two projects advancing data privacy and protection

America's DataHub Consortium (ADC) has announced the awardees of two recent projects: the Privacy Preserving Technologies Phase 1 – Environmental Scan project and the Data Protection Toolkit Use Case Analysis project. Research Triangle Institute was selected to lead the Privacy Preserving Technologies Phase 1 – Environmental Scan 6-month project valued at $280,364. NORC at the University of Chicago was selected to lead the Data Protection Toolkit Use Case Analysis Project, which is also a 6-month project, and is valued at $243,172.
