UEI
All entities wishing to do business with the federal government must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). The UEI is a unique twelve-character alpha-numeric Identification code provided by the System for Award Management (SAM).
SAM Registration and CAGE Code
If you are doing business with the U.S. Government to include contracts and grants, you must register at SAM. A registration allows you to bid on government contracts and apply for federal assistance. During this process you will be assigned a new CAGE code if one doesn’t already exist. The CAGE code is a five-character alpha-numeric identifier assigned to entities located in the United States and its territories.
- Visit the CAGE site, click the “CAGE Search & Inquiry” link and use the search functions to check for your organizations CAGE Code.

- In order to register in the System for Award Management (SAM), an organization will first need to receive a Unique Entity ID.

DD Form 2345
This form is required by U.S. contractors that wish to obtain access to unclassified technical data disclosing militarily critical technology with military or space application that is under the control of, or in the possession of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

- You must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI)
- You must have an active CAGE Code
- You must be a Canadian or U.S. owned company
- The Data Custodian must be a Canadian or U.S. citizen
- You must complete Proper Handling of Export Controlled Technical Data Training
- You must Complete a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Assessment
- You must upload your NIST assessment to Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). Guide for uploading assessment and score.
Create a new Organization in the JCP using the Organization’s CAGE Code →
