Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC)®

SpEC is a partnership between commercial industry, the civil space sector, academia, and others to increase flexibility and agility, reduce cost, improve technology and capability insertion, and decrease cycle timelines in the development and deployment of next generation space technologies. SpEC’s goal is to deliver more frequent, regularly scheduled launches and spacecraft designed to fit on standardized launchers with standardized interfaces for faster, more predictable access to space.

Collaboration and prototype development through SpEC reduces acquisition risk and increases constellation refresh rates, improving the availability of new on-orbit technology and system responsiveness and survivability.
