Vivacelle Bio, Inc., a privately held life science company focused on the development of treatments for hypovolemia in shock including septic shock and hemorrhagic shock, announced the successful completion of its Phase IIa clinical trial of VBI-S in septic shock patients with severe hypovolemia.

The Access to Advanced Health Institute announces $9.9M award to develop a nasal spray influenza RNA vaccine through phase 1 clinical trials

The Access to Advanced Health Institute (AAHI) announced today that it has been awarded a project agreement worth up to $9.9 million through the Medical CBRN Defense Consortium (MCDC) Other Transaction Authority (OTA) to develop a prototype intranasal bivalent influenza RNA vaccine candidate based on AAHI’s self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) platform that targets both pandemic A(H5N1) and A(H7N9) influenza virus pathogens.

NSTIC OTA delivers accelerated hypersonic weapons testing

The speed of the Naval Surface Technology Innovation Consortium's (NSTIC) OTA, managed by Advanced Technology International (ATI) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren, allowed for a 90-day turn from Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) to contract award, enabling the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) hypersonic development program to contract with a Non-Traditional Defense Contractor to provide new, low-cost sensor technologies to support critical flight test activities.

Celebrating a year of innovative sustainment solutions to address security threats in maritime environments

The Maritime Sustainment Technology and Innovation Consortium (MSTIC) launched in June 2021 with more than 120 signed member organizations. Today, MSTIC has more than doubled its membership since the award, serving the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) with over 285 active members made up of traditional and nontraditional federal contractors, small and large businesses, for-profit and nonprofit entities, and academia.
