Product manufacturing is a key milestone in Kane’s DispersinB® wound care project which is financially backed by both Western Economic Diversification Canada and The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (“MTEC”), a biomedical consortium overseen by the US Army.
This competitive award was granted by US Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), Combat Casualty Care Research Program (CCCRP) in collaboration with the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC), a 501(c)(3) biomedical technology consortium.
The project, sponsored by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) and awarded through the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium, will fund clinical studies of neurosurgical patients at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, UT Southwestern Medical Center, the University of Texas at San Antonio, Emory University, and Dartmouth University.
To provide the best possible solutions to the DoD, the NSC has invited members of the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) to review the RPPs and possibly team with proposers from the NSC.
A gastrointestinal targeted therapy could reduce overall viral burden, inhibit disease progression, accelerate viral clearance, and block significant transmission routes.
Notably, OTAs are routinely used by USAMRDC partner the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium, which operates as a nonprofit corporation designed to accelerate the translation of medical technologies into medical solutions for U.S. military personnel and veterans.

The DoD recently awarded Sibel Health $2.4 million through an MTEC award to support the developed and deployment of its wearable, COVID-19 monitoring sensor.
