Supporting HBCUs and MSIs in pursuing research, development, test and evaluation
ATI and the National Science and Engineering Alliance (NSEA) are partnering to expand the talent of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and minority serving institutions (MSIs) through collaboration. Our joint mission is to provide a framework under which NSEA and ATI shall collaboratively support HBCUs and MSIs in their pursuit to participate in Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) opportunities in order to meet the needs of the public and private sectors. Both ATI and NSEA are committed to a shared vision of providing awareness of RDTE opportunities and access to federal funding.
NSEA was formed to identify and secure research opportunities for talented, underrepresented minorities including students and their instructors in HBCUs and MSIs. By doing so, NSEA’s goal is to help strengthen HBCU and MSI scientific and engineering programs, and create a system for early identification, and training of the next generation of future STEM researchers.
