The Maritime Sustainment Technology and Innovation Consortium (MSTIC) launched in June 2021 with more than 120 signed member organizations. Today, MSTIC has more than doubled its membership since the award, serving the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) with over 285 active members made up of traditional and nontraditional federal contractors, small and large businesses, for-profit and nonprofit entities, and academia.

In FY21, NIWC Atlantic transitioned 9 successful Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium OTA prototypes into production awards with nontraditional IWRP Consortium members leading five of those efforts. Since September 2020, NIWC Atlantic has transitioned a total of 13 prototypes into production awards with a ceiling value over $636M, capitalizing on the streamlined process of OTAs to move through prototyping directly into production.
